‘Penny Dreadful’ Season 2 Gets Delayed

Even though a premiere date and a trailer have been out, it turns out we’ll have to wait a bit longer before ‘Penny Dreadful’ returns on Showtime.

Penny Dreadful was one of last year’s most promising brand-new shows and the renewal for a second season was pretty much expected. Even though a premiere date and a trailer have been out, it turns out we’ll have to wait a bit longer before the series returns.

Showtime had announced that Penny Dreadful would return on Sunday, April 26, but the plans have changed. The bad news is that the show’s comeback has been pushed back, but thankfully there’s some good ones as well. Things are not as bad as they sound, since the series will premiere only a week later, on May 3. The reason behind the delay was not made public though, but it was probably minor, since it’ll only keep us away from Vanessa and her gang one more week.

No other show’s premiere date from Showtime’s spring schedule was changed. What’s for sure though is that the network adores Penny Dreadful and it’s all probably for the best. The sexy and dark thriller is coming back after all and if you’re not convinced you should tune in, make sure to catch up with the trailer for its upcoming, second season below.
