Janelle Monae’s label, Wondaland Records, is partnering with Epic Records, and she’s getting the music onto the airwaves with much haste. A press release was circulated last Monday (Feb. 16), in which Epic announced the partnership. Epic’s head, L.A. Reid, called the artists on Monae’s label “awe-inspiring.”
From the likes of artist “Ash” who has her EP The Perfect EP on iTunes now for purchase, with her classic, sweet, and soulful ballads, to her first Wondaland/Epic act Jidenna, who just released his first music video, “Classic Man,” featuring Roman Gianarthur, they are all sure to blow us away.
Jidenna’s “Classic Man” is a new take on a DJ “Mustard-esque bay area sound,” and will make anybody rock to the rhythm. Watch the video below, and get ready because Wondaland is about to have a major year.
