Conor Maynard has premiered a new video and single online, which was co-written by no less than RnB star Craig David.
The single, titled “Talking About”, is the first release of Maynard since 2013’s “R U Crazy”, a promotional single that came out after the end of the era for his debut studio album Contrast, which peaked at #1 in the United Kingdom.
In an interview with Capital FM, the singer revealed why it took so long to come up with new material. “I didn’t want to fall into that place where you’re kind of almost releasing music relentlessly almost to kind of try and stay relevant at all times. I really wanted to kind of step back and have a moment to really figure out exactly where I wanted to go”, he said.
The music video was shot in Miami and featured Conor Maynard, walking the street and hitching a ride with various vehicles as he parties with the people aboard. It also included a cameo bt the songwriter Craig David himself!
‘Talking About’ will be officially released on April 20. While you are waiting, take a look at the music video below.
