Richard Madden Had To Hide Royal ‘Bulge’ For Cinderella

Richard Madden revealed in a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel that he was a bit too…er…manly to be the prince in Cinderella.

We all know and love Richard Madden as the young lord-then-King Robb Stark in Game Of Thrones, a fantasy series that doesn’t hold back on blood, gore, and nudity.

But what happens when you turn the King of the North from a bare-all television series into Prince Charming in a fairy tale film made for children?

Well, apparently he has to hide his manhood.

On the Feb 27 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Richard Madden revealed the process on how the filmmakers had to make sure that his kingly–or princely–bulge would be kept hidden, especially when he had to shoot while wearing tight white trousers.

“The prince can’t have any genitalia, apparently,” Madden told host Jimmy Kimmel. “We had about two days of screen tests where we had to try lots of different jock straps, just to make sure we can’t see anything through the trousers.”

And, at times, it was even painful. Madden revealed that, at one point, the jockstrap was so tight that it caused him to tear up.

I guess shooting the Red Wedding was far easier, eh?
