As if the endless teasers revealed so far were not bloody enough, Salem is further promoting the upcoming Witch War of its second season. WGN America has now unveiled a bunch of brand-new posters, along with the very first official trailer for the show’s return.
The four recently unleashed promotional posters are stunningly spooky, with two of them finding Mary Sibley (Janet Montgomery) in center stage. In one of them, she’s surrounded by her fellow witches, once again showing who the head bitch witch in charge is. The other finds her sitting on a reversed cross, as she’s turned the town of Salem upside down. The other couple further introduce us to the hellish world she’s created for everyone else during the Witch War. Here you have them all for your viewing pleasure.
The newly-revealed trailer for Salem gives us a closer look to the long-hyped Witch War and what it means for the simple citizens. Once again, things don’t come easy for Mary, who’s got to face her opponents to keep the throne for herself, while also making her plans come true. If one thing is obvious, it’s that panic and death are spreading fast all around. The short clip also gives us a very first look at former Warrior Princess, Lucy Lawless, in the role of Countess Marburg. Go check it out below.
Salem is set to come back to WGN America with its second season on April 5.
