Last year, Jordin Sparks released a mixtape called #ByeFelicia as a “goodbye” “fuck you” to her ex, Jason Derulo, and apparently she’s still promoting it. The latest offering to be lifted from it is the 2 Chainz-assisted “Double Tap”, which now has a video to go by.
The track serves as a slow-burning urban banger, all sexy and hard-hitting throughout. The accompanying visuals find Jordin Sparks uploading videos and snaps of herself on her Instagram profile, for a special guy to like. He should be careful though, as she doesn’t want him double-tapping any other girl’s photos. The songstress soon invites her girlfriends over and before you know it, they turn their little hang-out into a party, with a special performance from 2 Chainz. She shows off her sexier sides here and dances things up with a bit of choreography as well.
You’ll have to agree that the change of both sound and style fit Jordin Sparks perfectly. She’s been quite missed from the industry after all, so new music from her is always welcome, especially in such ways. The songstress is currently working on her upcoming, third studio album, titled Right Here, Right Now. For the time being, check out the music video for “Double Tap” below.
