‘Lucifer’ Gets Some New Casting Additions

With Fox’s upcoming series adaptation of a comic book, ‘Lucifer’, on the way for pilot season, new casting additions have been made to the series.

You are probably aware by now that Fox has layed hands on yet another comic-book based pilot, grabbing Lucifer from DC Comics’ Vertigo. As everything seems to be falling right in place for the upcoming show, some new names have now been added to the cast.

Apparently, some of the main characters from comics have found their live-action versions. Amenadiel, an angel who wants to get Lucifer to go back to hell, will be played by D.B. Woodside (24). In addition to that, the main character’s therapist, Linda, has been found in the eyes of Rachael Harris (Suits), while Nicholas Gonzalez (Sleepy Hollow) is set to portray homicide detective, Dan. Furthermore, Lina Esco, who was previously cast as Luci’s close pal Maze – a hot-girl-looking demon, has now be given the sack, with Lesley-Ann Brandt (Spartacus) taking her place. The actors will be joining Tom Ellis (Rush), who has reportedly landed the leading role.

For those still not familiar with Lucifer, it tells the story of the well-known ringleader of hell, who got bored in his world and gave it up to open a piano bar in Los Angeles. He’s now helping the local cops with their criminal cases, but you can tell his previous role doesn’t really make things easy for him. Expect more news to come as we go and make sure you don’t miss this one during the next pilot season.
