Famed Novelist Harper Lee’s highly anticipated book Go Set a Watchman now has a book jacket (see above)!
Go Set a Watchman, set to publish July 14th, has 2 million copies in print by publishing company HarperCollins. Clearly, the book is expected to sell exceptionally well.
Michael Morrison, president of HarperCollins, clarifies that Go Set a Watchman’s book jacket is meant to call forth To Kill a Mockingbird’s iconic look. Morrison further comments that it was difficult for them to “pick just one iconic image” for the book jacket.
This novel will be Harper Lee’s second; her first being the classic To Kill a Mockingbird, which was released in 1960. Non-avid readers are bound to have heard or read this book at one point in their lives, especially since most high school English teachers have made it a requirement.
For those who are unaware, Go Set a Watchman provides readers with new insight on Mockingbird’s familiar characters such as Scout, Atticus, and Jem Finch.
