With the era for his latest studio album X not close to coming to an end anytime soon, Ed Sheeran has released yet another single from it. A reworked version of “Bloodstream”, courtesy of Rudimental, is currently being pushed and it now has music video to go by.
The Emil Nava-directed visuals for “Bloodstream” were premiered as part of the promotiong for the Youtube Music Awards. Even though Ed Sheeran himself is nowhere to be seen, Ray Liotta of Goodfellas fame gets to play the lead in yet another music video, as he’s previously starred in David Guetta’s clip for “Lovers On The Sun”. In this one, the actor portrays a well-known and wealthy, yet washed-up and lonely rock star who puts himself in self-destructive mode and he does deliver a great performance indeed.
“Bloodstream” serves as the fourth official single to be lifted from the British crooner’s sophomore studio album, X. Ed Sheeran is also set to lend the reworked version to Rudimental, to serve as the lead single from their forthcoming, sophomore record. Check out the music video for yourself below.
