Former Danity Kane members Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex (my personal favorites of the group) are returning to the music scene as new duo by the name of DumBlonde. Last year the ladies of Danity Kane (minus D. Woods) reunited for a comeback album, which had to be altered after member Aundrea Fimbres departed to start a family. The group continued to produce and record, until an altercation of sorts led to Dawn Richards leaving the powerful girl group, causing Danity Kane to disband once again.

The album eventually was released after fans begged for the previewed tracks showcasing a new sound and proved the women of DK can still slay the music industry. A few unpredictable speed-bumps didn’t affect O’Day and Bex, as the two continued to work relentlessly and record tracks under the newly formed DumBlonde duo. It was announced that fans will get a first chance to enjoy the new music after confirming a series of listening parties with merchandise, meet and greets, and the overall DumBlonde experience. It’s already sold out, I’m pretty jealous…

O’Day made the announcement via Twitter:

She also posted a series of photos to promote the pair. Sources at TMZ elaborate that this new music will stray from their previous R&B sound and will incorporate more EDM style into their recordings. I’m more than pumped for new music from the new girl duo, and definitely ready for a DumBlonde takeover!
