April Fools Day doesn’t always end well, but the internet was given a nice treat by one designer this year.
Julien Knez, also known as Golem13, pretended this year that he was Stan, a Parisian hipster, who only watched modern television and movies on VHS.
Knez decided to have a little fun and design fake VHS covers for shows like Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and movies like Gravity and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Obviously, the VHS covers are completely fake, but it did provide a good laugh for the internet.

My personal favorites are definitely Guardians of the Galaxy and The Walking Dead. Seeing these VHS covers made me feel that if this was back in the day, I would have rushed to Blockbuster and bought myself a copy.
Although I do enjoy the high definition quality of the movies and shows today through the beauty of Blu Ray and DVD players, VHS does hold a special spot in my heart. Nothing like going to Blockbuster, renting out movies and being able to rewind movies easily without worrying about “scratching” the tape or anything.
