South Carolina Officer Rightfully Charged With Murder Of Walter Scott

A policeman in South Carolina has been fired from his position as well as charged with murder thanks to contradicting video evidence.

Hello, friends. It is I, your resident Negative Nathan, here to Negative Nathan some more. Except, Negative Nathan has some nice news born out of bad news.

Which would you like first?

The bad news?

You’re wise.

Scumbag white cop Michael Slager of North Charleston, South Carolina shot and killed an unarmed Black man, Walter Scott, for the grievous crime of existing while black. Truly a horrendous offense.

Scott was stopped for a broken tail light, and instead ended up with five bullets in his back as he tried to run away from the racist white cop who shot him without provocation or hesitation.

But that’s not what he’s claiming.

Scumbag claims that Scott struggled with him for his taser, which came loose in the subsequent scuffle, and “feared for his safety” which led to him shooting the innocent man to death.

*galactic eye roll*

Luckily, a bystander filmed the entire exchange, which showed the scumbag cop killing the man without a scuffle, and placing the taser beside the dead body of the 50-year-old black man.

Scumbag is being charged with murder, and this is fantastic news.

We’ll see if it sticks, and while I’m ecstatic over this, I’m also salty because I shouldn’t have to be ecstatic over something that should be normalized and commonplace when cops break the law and murder (Black) people.

But it’s a crumb. We’ve been tossed scraps, a glimmer of hope, and before it’s inevitably cruelly yanked away, as this universe is so wont to do, I will enjoy the potential of this bastard reaping what he sowed.

No sympathy for killers. No empathy for murderers. And no mercy for racists.

Today is a good day, if a sombre, solemn one.

Rest in Peace, Walter Scott. We’ll have justice for you yet.
