I’ve always been a fan of Star Wars; it’s great storytelling, has amazing imagination driving it and frankly, set a new cinematic standard back in the 1970’s. We made it through the disaster zone that was Episodes I, II and III, coming out on the other side of them wondering what had hit us. Don’t get me wrong, those films weren’t entirely disastrous, but was it really necessary to bring Jar Jar Binks into our lives? No. Never again.
JJ Abrams, as far as I’m concerned, can do no wrong. Yes, the lens flare in Star Trek was a bit hefty and no, we didn’t get all the answers to the crazy events in Lost, but even haters have to admit… Abrams knows what the hell he’s doing.
The first Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens trailer was released back in November, prompting fans everywhere to dissect the footage frame-by-frame in unadulterated excitement. Here’s another peek at it, in case you’ve been under a rock the last few months:
