Disney fans all over the world were thrilled with the news that the animated classic, Beauty and The Beast, was being remade with into a live action version. Not only that, Harry Potter alum and brilliant UN ambassador Emma Watson will be starring in the main role as Belle!
It was a lovely choice and most of us would have been happy with just that. But then Disney had to just go on and assemble what can probably be referred to as a dream cast of actors.
Following in the footsteps of fellow Downton Abbey alum, Lily James, in the animated fairy tale to live action genre, Dan Stevens was cast as the Beast! Then Luke Evans was announced to play the villain Gaston.
Then Kevin Kline and Josh Gad joined , and it is him we have to thank for giving us the cast’s first ever group selfie!
Now isn’t that grand. But we still have a long wait , Beauty and the Beast isn’t due to hit theaters until March of 2017.
