Looks like Daredevil’s crime-fighting days are far from over. Marvel’s Daredevil has been renewed for a second season by Netflix with one big change. Season 1 showrunner Steven DeKnight announced Daredevil’s renewal over twitter and also added that , due to previous commitments, he would not be returning to Daredevil as a showrunner. Taking DeKnight’s place are executive producers Doug Petrie (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Marco Ramiez (Sons of Anarchy), who both worked closely with DeKnight and series creator Drew Goddard for Daredevil’s first season.
Daredevil has become a massive hit and continues to be one of the most talked about shows of 2015, so its renewal was inevitable. It also happens to be a show I binge-watched almost as quick as Netflix’s Hemlock Grove and Fox’s The Following. Daredevil is a dark and gritty series that gives me a Buffy & Angel kind of vibe. It’s a must-watch and if you haven’t seen it already, then I recommend you do so as quick as possible!
