The tribute to one of Latin America’s most iconic figures, Selena Quintanilla, who was tragically killed in 1995, was met with a amazing reviews at last night’s Billboard Latin Awards.
And who should perform this? Only the woman who previously played Selena in the biopic back in 1997 – singer Jennifer Lopez.
Lopez started the performance with one of Selena’s greatest hits -“Como La Fleur,” and then proceeded with catchy hit “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.” She was joined on stage by the Quintanilla family, Selena’s sister, Suzette and brother, AB as well as Selena’s widow husband, Chris Perez.
The incredible seven minute performance consisted mostly of Selena’s greatest hits and even though “Dreaming of You” was not played it still was a memorable night for fans of the late Tejano singer.
