“Rock Weekend” kicked off with a bang featuring Ivete Sangalo and ended the night hard with Taylor Swift on the Main Stage causing a frenzy!! For the Vegas economy, this second week served as an answer to if Rock in Rio could come back again with record-breaking crowds and a-list musicians as they have done all over the world.
For me, it was just one major snooze on Day 1 of the festival, and it had nothing to do with the lack of talent, food, preparation or infrastructure. It was a cold front that came through Nevada on Friday that followed me from LA, which made for sweater weather before Jessie J closed out her last hit song, “Bang Bang”. How cold was I?! Chilly; I had on my Paula & Chlo travel wrap & a jacket, it was that cold.
I wish I could have tweeted a bit more, but the signal strength on the ground isn’t that great. To compensate, I have some clips and photos that you just might like from a few of the ladies who KILLED it on Friday: Jessie J, Charlie, Ivete, and Taylor Swift!
