This is proving to be a good week for Hamatora fans (such as myself). Sentai Filmworks first announced their plans to release Hamatora for home video distribution late last week. Now we have a release date and confirmation from Section23 Films that Hamatora will be dubbed (yay!).
Hamatora will be released on DVD and Blu-ray September 22nd. I wonder who will be roped in to play the lovable members of the detective agency known as Hamatora.
Along with releasing Hamatora, Sentai Filmworks will also be releasing The Comic Artist and His Assistants, Sabagebu! Survival Game Club, and Argevollen part one on DVD and Blu-ray. These three releases will not be dubbed and will instead feature English-subtitles only. Additional anime series coming out in September, along with Hamatora, are Appleseed, K-ON season 1, Nobunaga The Fool part 2, the Blu-ray sets for My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU and a collectors edition of Persona 4 The Animation which is set to release September 29th.
Out of all the series Sentai has recently licensed, Hamatora is the one I’m the most excited for; even more so, since it’s getting an English-dub.
