Alesha Dixon hasn’t really been around for a while now, as she hasn’t released an album since 2010′s The Entertainer. Five years later, the songstress is preparing to make a comeback and has released a brand-new single, titled “The Way We Are”, which now has a music video to go by.
Penned by the songstress herself in collaboration with Alex James and Harry Sommerdahl, “The Way We Are” serves as a massive dance-pop tune. With self-empowering lyrics and an incredibly catchy production in hand, the anthemic track is easily one of her best offerings since hit singles like “The Boy Does Nothing” and “Let’s Get Excited” from her 2008 record, The Alesha Show. There is no doubt that Alesha Dixon got it right this time around and the song paves the way for a wonderful comeback. However, it won’t be released until June 21, thanks to UK’s always-late release dates, but at least she’s releasing it on her own label.
The accompanying music video finds Alesha Dixon joining forces with First Choice and taking over their wonderful resorts. Directed by Carly Cussen and the songstress herself, the visuals find her looking beautifully stunning in various shots, while she also hangs out with her friends and serves some choreography.
“The Way We Are” serves as the lead single from Alesha Dixon’s forthcoming, as-yet-untitled, fourth studio album, which is expected to drop later this year. For the time being, check out both the song and the clip below.
