The sequel to Brad Pitt’s highly successful Zombie apocalypse film, World War Z, has finally gotten a release date!

And it will be going up against a hotly anticipated superhero flick. Paramount announced that World War Z 2 will be released on June 9, 2017, the same time that Fox has set Fantastic Four 2. So who do you think will win out in the box office, superheroes or zombies?

Anyway, the plot of the Zombie war film is being kept tightly under wrap, thus there is no word on how the story will go forward. After all the first film did show a solution and a conclusion to how humanity can win the war on Zombies.

World War Z is loosely based on the novel of the same name , authored by Max Brooks. And with earnings of $540 million, is the highest grossing film of Brad Pitt’s career. He is also the producer through his Plan B entertainment group, alongside partners, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner.
