As part of phase two of their simulcast dub-stream, Funimation unveiled the dub-cast for the romantic –comedy The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan. The dub reunites the cast of The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya because it contains the same set of characters, however this time we get to see a new side to these familiar characters. The ADR Director for Nagato Yuki-chan is Todd Haberkorn with Christopher Sabat serving as a producer and Bonny Clinkenbeard is on board as lead writer.

Funimation, in preparation for The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan’s premiere, launched a grassroots teaser campaign which featured a “in search of” ad on Craigslist that said the following:
“In search of aliens, Espers, time travelers and anyone extraordinary. It’s obvious you’re out there so you might as well make yourself known. Willing to settle for someone transferring into school at an auspicious time, but that’s only as a last resort. The world is constantly changing, but at the same time it stays more or less the same. BOOOOORING!!! There’re so many weird and amazing things out there and no one has time to wait for them to just appear so RESPOND IMMEDIATELY. You’d better be the real thing. There will be tests so no fakers. OR ELSE. Let’s be BFF’s FOREVER!”
An extraordinary campaign for an out-of-this-world anime series. From the creators of The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan provides us with the same set of characters, with a new story that takes place in an alternate reality. This time around our focus is the shy Yuki Nagato who attempts to woo Kyon with the help of her partner-in-crime Ryoko Asakura. Along with the budding romance, the trio tries to keep their literature club in tact while dealing with dramatic Tsuruya and her “henchman” Mikuru.
The English-dub of The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan will premiere Friday (May 29th) at 2:10 EDT
