Elizabeth Smart has been hiding something from the world, and her father, Ed Smart, finally revealed what it is today (June 1): her three-month-old daughter, Chloe.
It has been almost 13 years since Smart was kidnapped in Utah from her bedroom and held captive for nine months by Brian David Mitchell. Now, age 27, she and her husband, Matthew Gilmour, have welcomed a daughter.
According to her father, “Elizabeth is great, she just had a little baby girl three months ago.”

For those who have followed the Elizabeth Smart case, this is a welcome and joyful surprise, and a sign that she has been able to move past her terrifying experience.
