Aca-Hell Yes: Pitch Perfect 3 Release Date Announced

Pitch Perfect 3 has been greenlit, and Universal has released the summer date for the sure to be highly-anticipated third installment.

Set those calendars Aca-Pitches! The girls will return for a THIRD installment of the successful franchise, the sequel to which has already grossed over $260 million worldwide!

Universal Pictures have just announced the date for the third Pitch Perfect movie!

The date for release will be July 21, 2017, and the irresistibly cute Anna Kendrick, the star of the film, couldn’t have been more excited at the prospect of coming back a third time in her recent Instagram post.

Elizabeth Banks, along with Paul Brooks of Gold Circle Entertainment and Max Handelman of Brownstown Productions, are all coming back to produce the movie. The sequel saw Banks step in the director’s chair this time (she produced the first film, which made over $113 million worldwide). However, no word yet on whether Banks will direct again.

Negotiations were already under way a week ago to get Kay Cannon, who wrote both films, to return for the third installment and, as the sequel doubled its profit from the first film, it is no surprise that Universal Pictures have themselves a winning formula with this film.

No word yet on which cast members will return, but we are sure that superstars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are returning for more funtastic-acapella fun!
