It’s been known for a while that Kerry Washington had landed the starring role in HBO’s forthcoming film, Confirmation. However, we had yet to see the actress in the role of Anita Hill, but that has thankfully changed now, as the first photo has been revealed.
Confirmation revolves around the story of Anita Hill, the attorney who sued her boss, Clarence Thomas, for sexual harassment. It was reported that he was leaving pubes on her soda can, among other things. At the time, the man was nominated for Supreme Court Justice and is currently a Supreme Court judge. In the very first photo that was shared on instagram by Kerry Washington herself and later by HBO, the actress looks perfect in action as Hill. As well as revealing the first photo of her in the role, the Scandal star didn’t hesitate to let her excitement show. Take a look below.

Kerry Washington stars in Confirmation alongside Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Hudson, Alison Wright, Eric Stonestreet and Jeffrey Wright. She is also co-executive-producing the film, based on a Susannah Grant-penned script.
