Is the real deal ladies and gentlemen.
Last night, Miley Cyrus was honored with the Inspiration Award from the amfAR Gala, and when she took to the podium to say a few words, we couldn’t have expected what was to come.
Miley expressed her feelings towards the AIDS epidemic, the LGBTQ community and youth as well as her Happy Hippie Foundation.
It didn’t take Cyrus long before she told the crowd she would be speaking from the heart, and not reading any of the teleprompters. Right from the start of her speech, we could all tell that that was a stone cold fact. The emotion and honesty that poured out of her was something to marvel at.
Miley makes sure to commend the founder of the foundation, the late, great Dame Elizabeth Taylor. Miley is her blunt and usual self in the heartfelt speech and you can really tell how much it means to her.
Seeing her get choked up near the end, when she thanks her parents Billy Ray and Tish is a beautiful moment.
Absolutely moving, powerful speech and once again, I will state:
This girl IS THE REAL DEAL.
Everyone must take in this speech. It needs to be seen and heard.
