Mollee Gray can say that she’s pretty much done it all. From being in the top 8 on So You Think You Can Dance to starring in a Disney Channel movie to now a Lifetime movie, it’s no wonder why fans were excited to meet Mollee Gray during her appearance at Planet Hollywood in New York City.
Mollee spoke to us on how it felt the first time she read the script and the special moments within it.
It was really special, actually (reading the script). There’s some stuff in the movie that I obviously I can’t give away. But there are some heartfelt moments and then I got pretty teary-eyed. Ross’ song was beautiful and we got to hear that for the first time at a table read and, yeah, there are a lot of moments that just got me teary eyed.
But even after reading the script, Gray mentioned that the best part of it all was being able to see everyone again for another movie.

Not only that, but she also tells us another amazing part about it is being able to combine two of the things that she loves, acting and dancing.
It’s been a dream come true really. I’ve been dancing since I was three years old and now it’s kind of my profession and bringing I’m it with acting. But now my goal is to kind of fade out dance and focus on acting.
We are able to see her new focus in her new Lifetime film, Double Daddy. The film, which premiered earlier this month, stars Gray as Amanda, a girl who has just discovered that her boyfriend has impregnated a new girl at her school. She soon finds out that she is also pregnant herself and must deal with the whirlwind that comes from it all.
Gray could not contain her excitement over the film and for good reasons.
I’m estatic to take it out. It’s my first big lead, I’m the lead character and it’s just so surreal. I’ve wanted this for so long and it’s finally happening.
She hopes the movie will help teen moms everywhere gain their own voice and overcome whatever they may go through.
[I want teen moms to] know they’re not alone or to know that there are things they can do to get help. Or to know there are things they’re doing the same. Like, if I’m hiding it from my mom maybe they are too and I can help give them inspiration how to tell them. So the movie is very telling of a normal family who happened to go through a big trial.
Mollee doesn’t stop there, she hinted that some additional projects will be coming, and she can’t wait to share it with her fans.
Double Daddy can be seen on Lifetime and Teen Beach 2 will premiere on Disney Channel tomorrow, June 26th.
