This past Sunday, RuPaul’s Drag Race 7 stars congregated as part of Brandon Voss’ “Night of 1000 Queens“, in honor of New York City gay pride.
The event held special significance this year, as it came on the heels of a landmark Supreme Court decision which legalized gay marriage in all 50 states. The queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race 7 reacted to the gay marriage ruling in the video below, including season 7 winner, Violet Chachki. She also revealed her love of burlesque, as well as aerial performing.
Fan favorites Alyssa Edwards and Courtney Act staged a marriage proposal, and season 4 winner Sharon Needles blew the crowd away with her spot-on Caitlyn Jenner impersonation, which she said is paying homage to the “up and coming star”. Raja, star of World of Wonder’s hit web-series “Toot or Boot“, gave the look a toot.
Ginger Minj, Drag Race 7 runner-up, dished on her experiences on the show, and also did an Adele impression, which gave her a challenge win during the season. Pandora Boxx revealed why she loves Doctor Who, and Sister Roma talked about her experiences marching as an LGBT rights advocate.
Finally, season 5 superstar Detox, revealed why she wants to “marry everyone” and got naughty with the microphone.
