Doctor Who LEGO Dimensions Trailer Released At SDCC

Doctor Who shrinks down to join the “Lego Dimensions” world, and SDCC dropped the first trailer.

This week at SDCC the new trailer for the toys to life video game Lego Dimensions was released to the public. The trailer showed Peter Capaldi’s Doctor, from the BBC Sci-Fi show Doctor Who, in the little plastic lego figure form we all know and love.

The lego Doctor was shown fighting alongside with the three protagonists of the game, Wildstyle, Batman and Gandalf. The Lego video game has things for hardcore fans of Doctor Who, like regenerating into Doctors one through twelve. From fighting Lego versions of Daleks and Cybermen, to riding in the TARDIS, and regenerating into your favorite Doctors after death, this looks incredibly fun!

Lego Dimensions is similar to other toys-to-life video games such as Skylanders, Disney Infinity, and Hero Portal. The game uses Lego figures such as Marty Mcfly and Scooby Doo to blend together different universes or dimensions. Other franchises also in the Lego Dimensions mix are the Wizard of Oz and Portal. There are many different ways to play with each franchise’s figures, such as buying the fun packs, team packs and level packs that are each sold separately.

Lego Dimensions is available for pre-order for Xbox One, Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
