Everybody’s Favorite, Jennifer Lawrence, To Star In The Rosie Project

Everyone’s favourite person, Jennifer Lawrence, will star in “The Rosie Project”, a movie about finding love where you didn’t think to find it. And science.

Everybody’s secret best friend, Jennifer Lawrence, is back.

The Oscar-winning actress has signed on to star in The Rosie Project, a dramedy based on the novel by Graeme Simsion.

It is the story of Don Tillman, who wants to meet that special someone but is failing epically in looking for love. To remedy this, he creates a survey which singles out all the things he doesn’t want in a partner.

Jennifer Lawrence is set to star as the Rosie Jarman, who is free-spirited in a way that perplexes a socially awkward professor, and skews his research, his results, and his worldview.

The screenplay for The Rosie Project is by (500) Days of Summer and The Fault in Our Stars writers Michael Weber and Scott Neustadter, who are known for creating complex, intelligent characters with flaws for which you can’t help but fall.

Obviously, Kleenex needs to be at the ready.

It’s no surprise that Sony have asked for Jennifer to be attached to the project. After all, she’s one of the brightest stars in Hollywood right now, and with Mockingjay: Part 2 wrapped and ready to be gifted to the silver screen, the actress is making some interesting casting choices.

Jennifer has recently wrapped David O. Russell’s Joy, which hits our screens next year, and has signed on to star opposite the internet’s new favourite star, Chris Pratt, in the sci-fi drama Passengers.

Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence: so hot right now.

The Rosie Project seems like a great opportunity for Lawrence, who won an academy award for The Silver Linings Playbook. The actress plays interesting, complex characters like a fiddle and she’s making excellent choices with her roles, so her star will only burn brighter.

The Rosie Project was set to be directed by Chris Miller and Phil Lord, the geniuses behind 21 Jump Street and The Lego Movie, but they have moved on to direct the Han Solo Star Wars spin-off instead.

Sony have yet to announce who will direct the feature, and as always, we’ll keep you up to date on all the Hollywood happenings.
