Earlier today during Warner Bros’ huge movie panel at Comic-Con, Hall H erupted into cheers and applause as, for the first time, a new trailer for the highly anticipated Batman v Superman movie was screened.
The film will see Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, having been in Metropolis at the point where Man Of Steel left off – i.e. during the climactic battle. The destruction of the city leaves him ambitiously driven to oppose Superman, played by Henry Cavill (hence the ‘v’ in the film title!).
Jesse Eisenberg joins the cast as Lex Luthor while Gal Gadot takes on the role of Wonder Woman.
All four actors attended the panel along with co-stars Holly Hunter, Amy Adams and Jeremy Irons, as well as director Zach Snyder who prior to showing the footage told the audience:
We put this together especially for you guys. It’s not the whole movie, but I think you’ll get a taste for what it’s about.
Fans reacted strongly to the clip with many taking to Twitter to share their excitement:
Audience is on its feet whooping and cheering for the Batman vs Superman footage once it ends.
