Paul Walker’s brother Cody Walker lands major role alongside Nicholas Cage for WWII movie, USS Indianapolis.

After Paul Walker’s tragic death a year and a half ago, his brother Cody filled in for him on the set of the latest Fast and Furious movie. Since then, Cody has come to land a role in the upcoming film, USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage. Walker will be starring alongside Nicholas Cage in the World War II movie.

The film’s producers include Rionda Del Castro and Michael Mendelsohn, of Patriot Pictures. The film’s release date is set for Memorial Day Weekend 2016.

Nicholas Cage will play the captain of the USS Indianapolis, which goes missing during a classified mission to deliver atomic bomb parts. Because of the security clearance of the mission, the ship was not reported missing until four days later. During the days the men were missing many of them perished in the water. Cody Walker will play one of the near twelve hundred crewmen who faced countless dangers whilst waiting for the arrival of help.

Mario Van Peebles is set to direct.
