And San Diego Comic Con came to an end. Sad times. No more panels, previews and trailers to keep us going and 300-odd days until the next one. So what can you do in the mean time? Read this column! This week’s theme is DC Comics (because last week’s was pretty much a love letter to Marvel and we’re all about impartiality here..)!
Tyrine Carver brings us this epic team line up, behind the fastest man alive. It’s a beautiful digital piece, and I really love the lightning just buzzing around him
Agustinus shows us what Superman’s Facebook profile picture would look like. And it is utter genius. You can almost hear Batman’s angry shouts.
I love everything about Tim Levin’s Supergirl piece. The look on her face, the little creepy creature who is so weird it’s cute, and Superman’s obvious panic. Brilliant.
You know I’m a sucker for traditional art and Derek Laufman’s Joker is just perfect. The bold shading and expression combine to make a truly terrifying portrait of our favourite purple haired villain.
This piece featuring The Flash and his nemesis is wonderful! And very unique. Luxris has managed to combine both of them in a rather brilliant way.
Andrew Murray (no, not the tennis player) brings us Wonder Woman! She is the badass hero who everyone is waiting to see hit the big screen, and this retro style pencil illustration is perfect.
My offering is my take on the fabulous 2014 Batgirl redesign. I love the cape. I love the leather jacket. I love the bright yellow Doc Marten’s.
Don’t forget to keep it Popwrapped for all of your comic book and movie news, and check out all of the talented folk featured.
