Full House Alum Scott Weinger Joins Netflix Sequel

Scott Weinger, known as Steve Hale in the original Full House, revealed on Twitter that he has joined the Netflix spinoff, Fuller House.

Netflix’s sequel to hit sitcom Full House has just enlisted Scott Weinger, an original cast member, to join the series.

He will be reuniting with other Full House alumni John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Bob Saget, Andrea Barber, Jodie Sweetin, and Lori Loughlin, who have all already signed up to join.

Scott Weinger broke the news on his Twitter account with a picture of the script and his name on top of his character’s–Steve.

Weinger played Steve Hale, boyfriend of DJ Tanner, who is portrayed by Candace Cameron Bure. Steve was the dreamy captain of the wrestling team and was known for his love of food, a running gag in the series is his periodic visit to the Tanners during breakfast, wherein he would be the reason for their empty refrigerator.

His love interest, DJ Tanner, is now a widowed mother of two in the new series, so there might be a chance of the two of them rekindling their romance–just as long the food holds out, of course.

The new series, titled Fuller House, is set to premiere on Netflix in 2016.
