Real estate mogul Donald Trump, 69, has been involved in yet another scandal, this time in regards to an article in which reporter Tim Mak uncovered a story from Trump’s controversial biography, The Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump (1993).
A scene in the book graphically describes the rape of ex-wife Ivana Trump by Donald. This biography, written by Henry Hurt III, describes the graphic scene taken from the deposition of the couple’s divorce hearing. After publication of the book, these allegations were dramatically altered, with Ivana and Donald’s lawyers stating that the rape was “emotional” rather than literal, as described.
Trump, who is a presidential candidate, has yet to personally release a statement, however, his lawyer and top advisor Michael Cohen has responded by stating “you cannot rape your spouse,” and threatening Mak that Cohen would “mess his life up.”
Trump should maybe think about hiring someone with better knowledge of the law
as,
of course, this is not true. Marital rape has been illegal in all 50 States since 1993.
