Channing Tatum sent the Marvel world into a panic, when a report broke earlier this week that he had exited the upcoming standalone film ‘Gambit’.

Now, VARIETY is reporting that the deal is signed and done. It’s still expected to hit theaters October of 2016. Tatum previously appeared on stage at the 2015 San Diego Comic Con, where he took part in a huge selfie alongside ‘X-Men’ cast members.

While we now know he’ll be playing Gambit in the standalone, his future in upcoming ‘X-Men’ flicks remains unknown. Will we see him standing alongside Hugh Jackman…Jennifer Lawrence….??

Maybe.

Thankfully, all of the rumors of his exit have now been put to bed.
