Lana Del Rey is preparing to return to the scene this year with her third studio album, Honeymoon, and recently kicked off the era for it. The songstress moves on with the promotion by premiering her brand-new single, titled “High By The Beach”.
Even though the track found its way online a couple of days early, Lana Del Rey didn’t seem to mind and literally kept having fun by the beach, so it’s only officially out now. For “High On The Beach”, she teamed up with the likes of Rick Nowels and Kieron Menzies, and managed to further evolve her sound, while at the same time keeping all the elements we loved in the first place. It’s some vintage-meets-modern gangsta ish! The synth-heavy electronic production finds her exploring a more urban-esque, trap-inspired beat with her vocals, which manage to provide the atmospheric tune with LDR’s significant ethereal melancholy. The lyrics find her unable to keep coping with her lover in this bad romance of hers, so what better way to get over it than getting high by the beach?
“High By The Beach” serves as the lead single, yet second offering to be lifted from the songstress’ forthcoming, third studio album, Honeymoon. Lana Del Rey previously released the title track as a promotional single from the record, which is expected to drop later this year. For the time being, take a listen to the amazing new single below.
