Back in July, there was this small event in San Diego named Comic-Con, and it was here that Mr. Quentin Tarantino debuted the trailer for his latest offering, The Hateful Eight to a crowd of baying Tarantino fans, and it’s been kept under wraps ever since.
Until now.
Finally revealed to the world, The Hateful Eight tells the story of mercenaries, the law keepers, outlaws, fugitives, and bounty hunters taking refuge in a stagecoach waypoint roughly a decade after the American Civil War. A snowstorm hits the area and two of the men transporting a female prisoner across the country begin to worry if they’ll get out with their lives.
As the norm in Tarantino films, the list of cast members is who’s who of his previous movies including Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Michael Madsen, Zoe Bell, James Parks and Tim Roth, with a terrific British accent. There’s a chance he could take the whole movie, he’s certainly memorable from the trailer.
The Hateful Eight is released in the States in Christmas Day. It’s landing in the UK on January 8th.
How’s everyone feeling about this? Ready?
