Nick Jonas made another attempt at a solo career last year and it seems to have worked much better than his first one. After releasing his self-titled studio album, the singer is now moving on to the release of a brand-new single, titled “Levels”.
Produced by The Mosters & The Strangerz and co-penned by Sam Martin, “Levels” serves as yet another ode to the singer’s beloved one. The funky electro-pop number is all kinds of vintage-turned-modern, with a finger-snapping bassline and some intense vocals on top of it all. Nick Jonas provides the beat with a great rendition throughout, but it’s his falsetto that shines the most. There is no denying that this is the perfect follow-up to “Jealous”, as the two songs share the same kind of radio-friendly appeal.
“Levels” most probably serves as the lead single to be lifted from Nick Jonas’ forthcoming, as-yet-untitled third studio album. It comes after the release of both Nick Jonas singles, “Chains” and “Jealous”. With a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards Pre-Show scheduled for August 30, the singer is also planning to premiere the music video on the same day. For the time being, take a listen to the track below.
