Marvel has built a great Cinematic Universe for itself, which was first expanded to television with ABC’s Agents Of SHIELD. With the show returning for another season this fall, it seems Melinda May, one of the fan-favorite characters, could be leaving the gang for good.

It is possible that Melinda May will take off her SHIELD suit and pursue some different kind of career in the third season of Agents Of SHIELD. It was actress Ming-Na Wen who talked about the incident, causing fans to go wild with speculation. In her words:

In any situation when someone is so devoted to their work as May was, but then realizing over the last two years that SHIELD isn’t really what she dedicated her life to. That there was definitely a lot of corruption to SHIELD, as well as uncertainty now with the Inhumans being brought in by Coulson. It’s going to be figuring out her final decision in Season 3 and I think Andrew will probably play a part in it.
