Oregon Shooter Posted To 4chan With Intentions, Was Egged On

The Oregon shooter was given terrifying advice and praise when he announced his plan on 4chan on the night before the shooting took place.

Thursday morning was filled with despair as the news of yet another school shooting flooded the nation. The shooting happened in Oregon at a community college, and at least 10 have been pronounced dead, with as many as 20 possibly injured. The shooter, himself, is counted among the dead. I hope nothing but good will come to these families suffering such a tragic and unnecessary loss, but I must bring attention to another — potentially larger — issue.

The shooter posted about what he was going to do the night before onto a forum, 4chan. 4chan is filled with the slimiest, dirtiest bits of miscreants that have ever inhabited the planet, and, I, for one, would not blink an eye if they were thrown into an event horizon and left to rot away. These pieces of shit egged him on.

The posts ranged from people calling him a pussy, saying he wouldn’t do it, to others giving instructions. I can’t even bear to repeat it, just have a look:

The shooter has still been unidentified and I hope it remains that way. He is not the person to be remembered. The victims are the ones who deserve it. To the families: my thoughts are with you, and, everyone else, don’t gratify or glorify this walking scum. He posted anonymously, so he should remain anonymous.

UPDATE: The shooter has been identified since first publication. We will still choose not to name him.
