A Return To Stars Hollow: Netflix Revives Gilmore Girls

Fans rejoice! Netflix is bringing back Gilmore Girls with all new episodes!

Okay, you might need to sit down and take a breath; Netflix is bringing back Gilmore Girls! Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband, producer Daniel Palladino are reportedly back on board to bring the beloved show back for another incarnation. Variety reports Gilmore Girls will return in four 90-minute movies.

Gilmore Girls starred Alexis Bledel as Rory Gilmore and Lauren Graham as her mother, Lorelai as they experience life and love in the small town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. The show aired from 2000 – 2007 on the WB and CW. Over the years, Gilmore Girls maintained a passionate fanbase that turned out in force last summer when the cast reunited for a panel at the ATX Festival in Austin , Texas.  And last October, Netflix added all seven existing seasons to their library for streaming.

Netflix is currently in production on a revival of Full House and also brought back Arrested Development after it had been cancelled from network television and off the air for several years. With FOX set to debut a new season of The X-Files in January, it seems nostalgia is the order of the day!

No plot details or official release date have been announced but we’ll keep our eyes and ears peeled for you! So, what do you think? Are you excited for more adventure with Rory and Lorelai? What are you hoping to see from our girls? Leave a comment below and we can chat!
