Koko the Gorilla is one of the most important animals to ever live, as she has allowed linguists and scientists to break the boundary when it comes to human communication. One of only a few primates able to use sign language to communicate, Koko is one of the foremost examples of linguistic innovation…but she also was filmed meeting some kittens, and the cuteness will have you swooning all over the place!

Anyone who knows something about Koko will tell you that she is unable to have children of her own, so her partner and researcher, Dr. Francine Patterson, introduced the idea of introducing kittens to Koko a few years ago. The enormous gorilla showed wonderful tenderness to the small kittens, and has even been reported to have tried to teach them sign language. Her latest meeting with the kittens has been filmed, and you will be hard-pressed to find anything cuter and more beautiful that this.
