The world is still in shock at what happened in Paris on Friday night. Coordinated terrorist attacks have rocked the world’s most romantic city; despite all this, the French people have stood their ground in defiance, and messages of support have come pouring in from all over the globe.
And that includes posts from some of the world’s biggest stars, who used their large social media platform to reach out to the people of France in this difficult time.
Katy Perry, the most followed celebrity on Twitter, called on her fans to pray for Paris:

Comedic actor Chris Rock did the same and included an image of the Eiffel Tower as a peace sign;

The same image was also used and shared by pop star Harry Styles, footballer Gareth Bale, singers Pharrell, John Legend, Joe Jonas, and actress Olivia Wilde, who also tweeted out ‘Paris Je t’aime (Paris I Love You)’.

Football superstar David Beckham shared a moving picture of Paris on Instagram, captioning it with “As the sun rises in this beautiful city we remember the people that have died and the families that have lost loved ones… Our thoughts are with you all…”

Academy Award winning actor and singer Jared Leto changed his profile pic on twitter into the French flag and tweeted out ‘Paris we are with you, Vive Le France!’

Actress Kate Hudson shared an image of the Eiffel Tower inscribed with a quote from Gandhi that reads ‘There is no path to peace, peace is the path’
Singer Sam Smith also shared his own image of the Eiffel Tower and captioned it with ‘Praying For Paris. Sitting here staring at the news. My thoughts and my heart is with all the family and friends of the victims and to everyone in Paris and France tonight. Please all stay at home and stay safe’.

Avengers star Mark Ruffalo not only showed support but also shared a nugget of wisdom:

Stephen Colbert, host of The Late Show, and his audience learned of the attacks part way through taping Friday night’s episode. His intro was re-recorded, and the show ended with an emotional message from a visibly shaken Colbert.
