It’s hard for anyone to dislike HBO’s hit series Game Of Thrones, but still there are those few tasteless beings hiding among us. Don’t stress though, as President Obama has addressed the matter and he’s definitely not one of those. In fact, he’s a huge fan like the rest of us!
Having previously indicated signs of fandom, all it took was a simple question in a recent interview with GQ for Barack Obama to come out as a Game Of Thrones fan. The President Of The United States not only revealed his favorite character, but he also mentioned post-episode recaps and reviews, as well as his difficulty in keeping up with the character’s names.
“I do love Game of Thrones,” Obama said. “My favorite character is probably… the dwarf, what’s his name? (Tyrion Lannister, that is…) The problem with Game of Thrones, though, is that I don’t remember the names of any of the characters… I remember the characters, so when I watch it, I know exactly what’s going on. But if you read a review of the show afterwards and they’re mentioning such and such, the only one I remember is Jon Snow, because I can pronounce Jon Snow.
The interviewer went as far as to try and relate Donald Trump to the Game Of Thrones conversation, but Obama is one to handle such questions all to well. So all in all, there we have it. The President Of The United States takes the time to not just watch the medieval drama, but also read post-episode coverage like a true fan. Anything else we have in common?
