DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow Trailer And Release Date Revealed

The CW has released a first look trailer at the new comic book series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, airing January 21, 2016.

Following in the steps of Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl, Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Marc Guggenheim have another DC Comics-based series heading to the small screen. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow just released a first look trailer. The series will premiere on The CW on January 21, 2016.

The trailer is jam-packed with familiar faces from The Flash and Arrow series. The team is comprised of The Atom (Brandon Routh), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Firestorm (Victor Garber/Franz Drameh), Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée). Leading the team is the time-travelling Rip Hunter, played by Arthur Darvill, who you may recognize as Rory from Doctor Who, where he also did his fair share of time travel.

When Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) conquers the entire world in 2166, Rip Hunter must return to the past and assemble a team to defeat Savage. The team will travel through time to capture Savage before he becomes the monster who controls the planet.

To fuel the fans’ excitement, The CW has a two-episode “Heroes Join Forces” crossover event with The Flash and Arrow airing December 1 and 2, which will lead into the DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.  The Flash episode “Legends of Today” and Arrow episode “Legends of Tomorrow” will introduce Hawkman and Vandal Savage in preparation for the new series.
