The Daily Show Concludes Donald Trump Is White ISIS

The Daily Show host Trevor Noah and Senior Political Correspondent Hasan Minhaj discuss Donald Trump’s anti-Muslim politics.

The Daily Show discussed Donald Trump’s recent call for a ban on Muslims entering the United States. Host TrevorNoah likened Trump to a Pokemon character, who has evolved into an “even more gruesome version of himself”.

After treating the audience to an American accent that needs to be heard, Noah pointed out how Trump’s proposed policy goes against the reasons for America’s foundation: freedom from religious persecution. He also showed a supercut of Trump’s supporters, and spoke about how Trump’s candidacy for president has given America’s racists free reign to express their racists views.

Noah then turned to The Daily Show’s Senior Political Correspondent Hasan Minhaj for further commentary. Minhaj said that he didn’t find Trump’s comments that controversial, and said that Trump was “100 percent right” to prevent Muslims from entering the United States because “it’s just not safe”. He continued to say that because “one third of a major political party in America is backing a racist maniac…this place is scary right now”.

I think this is where the evidence points: Donald Trump is an extremist leader who came out of nowhere. He’s self-financed, recruits through social media, attracts his followers with a radical ideology to take over the world, and is actively trying to promote a war between Islam and the West.

As Minhaj described Trump, Noah came to the shocking realization that Trump “is white ISIS”. This was soon confirmed by Minhaj, who dubbed Trump’s brand of politics “WHISIS”. He also implored the moderate white conservatives to “step up and speak out against WHISIS”, mocking the reaction of those on the right who demand moderate Muslims speak out against extremists.

Despite the fact that major Republican leaders have spoken out against Trump’s proposed policies, Minhaj told Noah that he still doesn’t “feel safe”.

I know there is a lot of nuance to the situation and every conservative isn’t the same, I know. But it’s just easier on my brain to be irrationally afraid of an entire group of people. So, until we can figure out what’s going on here, I, Hasan J. Minhaj, say we should not allow any conservatives into the White House!
