‘Star Trek Beyond’ Gets An Amazing First Trailer

Despite initial plans to come out on Friday alongside ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, the amazing first trailer for ‘Star Trek Beyond’ has been released.

Dear Trekkies, the wait is over!  The trailer for Star Trek Beyond wasn’t supposed to be unveiled until Friday as a preview for Star Wars:  The Force Awakens but it’s been released early and it’s packed with chaos!  What is the new film about?  From the trailer, it would appear our precious Enterprise is destroyed and the crew is scattered across an alien planet, along with many others, even some in Starfleet uniform.  Bring Star Trek III:  The Search for Spock to mind, where the Enterprise was also destroyed – looks like another tangle with Klingons.

This is the first of the Star Trek reboot films not to be directed by J. J. Abrams, who is busy with Star Wars, but we now have Justin Lin of the Fast And Furious franchise, at least some of it.  This film looks action-packed, but it might not be one where the crew members bond.  From what we see, only Spock (Zachary Quinto) and Bones (Karl Urban) are together and not for long.  Uhura (Zoe Saldana) looks like being in big trouble from the few clips we’ve seen.  And what is our fearless Captain James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) up to?  Being a badass, as always.  We also get a look at some new aliens in the trailer, who are fresh to the Star Trek universe, at least the one I know.

Speaking of strange looking aliens, Idris Elba is going to be in Star Trek Beyond as the villain and there’s one he could be.  A Klingon with a vendetta maybe?  This film is going to be full of action and from what we can tell, AMAZING, as Kirk is back with a little “Sabotage”! Watch the trailer below and make sure to leave a comment with your thoughts.
