Butcher Knives, a six-piece based in Brooklyn, are set to make a name for themselves with their intriguingly original sound, which they’ve dubbed “gypsybilly.”

An instrumental-heavy track with distinct punk rock vocals and a folk edge, “Tell Me Why” is the best showcase of this band and their multicultural tastes. The members hail from several parts of the world–Colombia, Colorado, Israel, and New Orleans.

The video, below, is a creative ode to Quention Tarantino’s filmmaking.
