Howard Stern Inks New Deal With SiriusXM

Once again, Howard Stern renews with SiriusXM and signs a brand-new, fiveyear deal, while snubbing both Netflix and Apple Music.

Shock jock Howard Stern has renewed his highly popular morning radio show contract with SiriusXM, and fans will have access to him for at least five more years.

Since 2004, Stern has made a big impact on the success of the satellite radio service, and losing the show could have cost SiriusXM approximately $240 million in revenue each year.

The terms of the newly-sealed deal were not released, but under the previous contract, Stern made approximately $80 million a year. One new aspect of The Howard Stern Show that fans can look forward to is a video venture, and Stern alluded to the creation of a new app, as well.

This is the first time in many years that losing Stern was a possibility for SiriusXM, as both Apple Music and Netflix supposedly were interested in the show. Despite these opportunities, Stern ultimately chose to stay where he was, and of course, this is a sigh of relief for SiriusXM. What did he have to say about staying with the company?

If you are not listening to SiriusXM and The Howard Stern Show, then you are really more like a zombie, a rotting corpse monster, living half a life, deadened and blackened inside.
