Romeo and Juliet’s love may be dead, but their story is as alive as ever!
FOX is picking up where Leonardo DiCaprio’s 1996 film left off, modernizing the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet. But instead of being a gun-slinging gangster that speaks in perfect prose, this drama will be set in the bustling music and radio industry of Los Angeles.
That will make the Shakespearean prose way more believable, right?
ABC, on the other hand, is still hard at work making it’s sequel to the tale, entitled Still Star-Crossed, based on the 2013 novel by Melinda Taub.
Fox’s untitled drama will be written and executive-produced by Eduardo Cisneros and Jason Shauman.
I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t think I could give up my other shows (Whovians and LITs, sound off!) for either of these shows. What do you think?
